DEPARTMENT OF MORPHOLOGICAL DISCIPLINES: OPEN SESSION
On April 16, 2026, at 4:10 PM (Room 216), lecturer A.M. Manasova will conduct an open laboratory session on "Normal Physiology" for group Gm-1-25 (1).
Topic: "Measurement of blood pressure according to the Korotkov's method. Determination of heart rate at rest and under load. Conducting the Ruffier test."
The session is dedicated to studying methods for assessing the functional state of the cardiovascular system (CVS). The lesson covers the principles of blood pressure measurement using the Korotkov method, the specifics of determining heart rate at rest and during physical exertion, as well as the methodology of the Ruffier test and its diagnostic significance.
The practical part includes:
• Mastering blood pressure measurement techniques;
• Calculating heart rate;
• Performing functional exertion followed by assessing the body's response;
• Calculation and interpretation of the Ruffier index.
Special attention will be given to the mechanisms of CVS regulation and the body's adaptation to physical load.
