On October 21, 2020, teachers, undergraduates and students of the Economics program of Adam University took part in the XV

International Scientific Conference "Accounting, Analysis and Audit: History, Modernity and Development Prospects", organized by the St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

A wide range of accounting and audit issues were discussed at the conference:

- competence-based approach to accountant training: traditional and digital;

- assessment of the level of materiality taking into account the recommendations of the FATF;

- financial reporting during the pandemic: finding new solutions;

- requirements of discretion: methods of prudence in accounting and reporting;

- history of the development of accounting in Hungary in 1945-1950, as well as the application of IFRS in the context of taxation;

- words have meanings? Language used in results reports in Portugal;

- Application and potential impact of the plastic tax in Italy;

- development of management accounting of the transport holding in the context of new system challenges;

- due diligence when choosing a Chinese partner;

- accounting for derivative financial instruments: the experience of foreign practices;

- theoretical issues of corporate accounting policy modeling;

- the impact of the government's anti-crisis measures on the organization of accounting in the context of coronavirus infection, and others.

I would like to express special gratitude to the organizer of this conference, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of "Audit and Internal Control" of SPbSUE Natalia Alexandrovna Kamordzhanova, a world-renowned scientist with inexhaustible energy with whom Adam University has been cooperating for more than 3 years.
